What do you feel INSPIRED to offer? What contribution ENERGIZES and ENLIVENS you?
To register as a CNVC/NVC-O Contributor, follow the following steps.
Step 1. Read about what is involved
Please make sure you have first read the About Contributors page.
Step 2. Review the Vision, Purpose and Mission of the Organisation
Review the Vision, Purpose and Mission of the CNVC/NVC-O organisation. While the Vision is shared with the Community, the Purpose and Mission are different.
Shared Vision of Community and Organisation
As a Member of the Community, you have already affirmed this Vision:
We envision a world where systems, cultures, and individuals support the wellbeing and empowerment of all people, with care for past, present, and future life.
Purpose of Organisation
We dedicate ourselves to the well being and empowerment of all by applying and sharing Nonviolent Communication principles and practices with individuals and within systems and cultures.
Mission of Organisation
As a global organisation, we seek to actively serve and support our Community and to reach out to the world to advocate for the transformative power of NVC principles and practices. We:
- MODEL: NVC and collaborative principles and practices as individuals and throughout the organisation.
- CONNECT: all who are inspired to learn, integrate, share, and apply Nonviolent Communication.
- ACTIVATE: conditions that enable knowledge and activities throughout the Community to become of service to the whole.
- SUPPORT: the transition to collaborative systems and practices at all levels of society.
- INITIATE: and implement collaborative and mutually supportive projects in partnership with members of the Community and the world at large.
- INSPIRE: and link with other communities and organisations who share a compatible vision.
- PROVIDE: platforms, resources and materials.
- EVOLVE: our capabilities and understanding of NVC through research and experimentation.
Step 3. Read about the Contributor Feedback system & Contributor Conflict Transformation system
Contributors are asked to know about and to operate in keeping with agreements about feedback and conflict transformation. Please read these documents:
It is not necessary that you fully understand these at this time, just that you are willing to learn about these systems and use them.
Step 4. Check with your Head/Heart/Body
“Do I support this Vision, Purpose, and Mission?” and “Am I willing to work within these agreements?”
Service in the CNVC/NVC-O organisation is open to those who answer “Yes” to these questions. You will also be asked to participate in a Contributor orientation process if you end up actively contributing to the organisation on an ongoing basis.
Step 5. Fill in the registration form
When you are ready to register as a Contributor:
- Edit the ” ‘Contributor’ Profile Group” of your Member Profile. You can do this two ways:
- Simply click this link. Then scroll down, fill out the requested information, and click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom.
- (Or instead, select the “Profile” option from the menu at the top of this page, select “Edit”, then at the top of the list of data, click “Contributor.” Then scroll down, fill out the requested information, and click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom.)
That’s it! You will receive an email when you have been added, telling you about next steps.
